MAINTENANCE
Applied by hand for steel preservation.
Goldseal Maintenance is a corrosion barrier that’s brushed, rolled or hand-applied cold for fast, practical maintenance work by on-site teams. It’s ideal for treating localised corrosion, touching up paint failures, and protecting areas where access is difficult or traditional coatings can’t be applied.
Built on a refined petrolatum-based matrix with an improved additive package, Goldseal Maintenance displaces moisture, penetrates crevices, and forms a durable, flexible protective layer that stops corrosion and prevents further breakdown. Adhering to both weathered steel and existing coatings, Goldseal Maintenance provides an immediate barrier without needing to remove previous layers, recoat fully, or blast.
Why Goldseal Maintenance works
Easy to apply
Goldseal Maintenance needs only minimal surface preparation and no specialised equipment. Simply clean the surface, brush the product on, and build the film as required. Because it’s cold-applied and safe to use in confined or sensitive environments, it’s a preferred choice for ongoing, real-world maintenance work.
Penetrates and seals
The formulation softens on application, allowing it to soak into rust, crevices, threads, and edges where corrosion typically begins. Once applied, it firms into a stable protective layer that continues to resist moisture, corrosive compounds, and contaminants.
Flexible, long-term protection
Unlike paints, Goldseal Maintenance remains flexible, not cracking, peeling or delaminating when it’s exposed to vibration, impact, or thermal and joint movement. If scratched, the coating re-levels and self-seals, ensuring ongoing protection.
Ideal for localised repairs
Designed specifically for situations where dry film build paints are ineffective, such as:
flaking or cracked coatings
surface rust
inaccessible joints
bolt heads, welds, angles, brackets
areas affected by condensation, chemicals, or salt
Goldseal Maintenance is perfect for:
structural steel in industrial plants
localised repairs on bridges, wharves, and conveyors
internal cavities, joints, and crevices
mining and manufacturing equipment
infrastructure in coastal or chemical environments
areas where hot spraying or epoxy recoating is impractical
Note: Custom viscosity adjustments are available upon request.
Non-DG Protection with no classified hazard risks. Designed for safe handling and transport
A simple three-step touch up process
Goldseal Maintenance does not require any blasting, complex preparation, or time to cure.
Step 1 : Clean the area
Step 2 : Brush on a fresh layer
Step 3: Build the film as required
In cool conditions the product may thicken. If required, gently warm the container to improve flow and sprayability.
Do not overheat or apply direct flame. For more detailed application instructions, refer to our Technical Data Sheet
