INDUSTRIAL HOT SPRAY

A single-coat rust treatment applied directly to in-situ steel by our in-house team. Backed by a minimum 10-year guarantee.

Goldseal IHS is a thermally applied, instant-setting corrosion barrier designed for steel exposed to harsh industrial and marine environments. Built on a robust petrolatum–wax matrix with an advanced additive package, it forms a single-coat, self-sealing protective layer that outperforms traditional paints in areas where moisture, chemicals, and vibration quickly cause coating failures.

With over 50 years of development and field use, Goldseal IHS delivers long-term protection – between 15–30 years – with lower costs and faster, easier application than conventional coating systems.

Why Goldseal IHS works

Sets instantly
Heated to approximately 100–110°C, Goldseal IHS sprays smoothly and sets the moment it contacts steel. This eliminates sagging, curing delays, and weather disruptions.

Flexible, self-sealing protection
The formulation creates a durable, flexible gel layer that:

  • displaces moisture and contaminants

  • penetrates crevices and threaded connections

  • remains flexible under vibration and movement

  • resists cracking, peeling, and delamination

  • re-levels and self-seals when scratched

Built for the harshest of conditions
When traditional coatings struggle to cure, maintain adhesion, or tolerate movement, Goldseal IHS excels. This includes in environments involving:

  • salt spray and marine exposure

  • chemical fumes (fertiliser, ammonia, and acids)

  • constant moisture and condensation

  • vibration, impact, or thermal movement

  • high humidity

  • limited surface preparation

Reliable for real-world industrial use

  • Non Hazardous and low VOC's

  • Non-DG for transport and storage

  • High solids

  • Spill recyclable

Goldseal IHS is perfect for:

  • galvanizing and fertiliser facilities

  • tanneries, processing plants, and heavy industry

  • bridges, wharfs, conveyors, and marine structures

  • steel portals, roof trusses, beams, and internal frames

  • remote or difficult-access structures

  • confined spaces, cavities, and hollow sections

Non-DG Protection with no classified hazard risks. Designed for safe handling and transport

Designed for Long-Term Asset Management

Applied by our specialist team, the system can be installed progressively across an operating facility, reducing downtime and avoiding major disruption.

Unlike rigid paint systems that require full removal at end-of-life, Goldseal IHS is engineered for staged renewal.

Future Maintenance is simple:

  • Clean the surface and reapply IHS or touch up with Goldseal Maintenance over the existing layer.

  • No blasting back to bare steel.

  • No complex coating rebuilds.

  • No extended shutdown periods.

This approach reduces lifecycle cost and keeps steel assets in service longer.
